What: Refugees become eligible to apply for United States citizenship after they have lived here five years. You will be assisting refugees who aspire to become citizens in preparing for their upcoming citizenship tests. Your expertise in English will be your most helpful skill as you aid them in understanding the language used in the application and the interview. While this is an opportunity to meet a practical need in the refugee community, it is also an opportunity to begin a friendship with one of thousands of your refugee neighbors.
