Our GoTEN ministry teams live in North American cities and international communities. We focus on reaching strategic refugees, immigrants, and students that come from unreached people groups and unreached areas of the world. We use English classes and other activities in order to build friendships and give international peoples the opportunity to hear about and know Jesus.
Refugee children often have a hard time fitting into a new country and a new culture, especially as they try to abide by their home cultural standards at the same time. These children are either spending time at school or at home without outside opportunities to have fun. Like adults, refugee children desire and need friendships with a positive influence. Typically, refugee children learn English faster and are open to hearing stories that are shared.
We are looking for ministry staff members to join our refugee teams who have a heart and a passion for working with refugee children in refugee communities. As a Refugee Kids Ministry team member, you will work to invest in the lives of refugee children and their families. You will visit them in their homes, coordinate kids programs, plan activities, help find resources if needed, bring the local church along with you, and more. Ultimately, you will utilize opportunities to share stories of Jesus with them as you love them like Jesus does. You will also work alongside others on your local ministry team in a combined effort to see more refugees reached with the gospel.
