About this role
The Development Officer plays a pivotal role in building the financial partnerships that sustain and expand GoTEN’s ministry. This person will develop strategies that attract new donors, strengthen existing relationships, increase recurring giving, and grow support from foundations and other grant-making organizations.

- Building and managing GoTEN’s monthly donor program, including strategies for donor acquisition, retention, engagement, and increased giving.
- Developing personal relationships with current and prospective donors through calls, meetings, emails, ministry updates, and expressions of appreciation.
- Creating campaigns and donor journeys that clearly communicate GoTEN’s mission, ministry impact, and opportunities to give.
- Researching foundations and identifying grant opportunities that align with GoTEN’s mission, programs, and funding priorities.
- Cultivating relationships with foundation representatives and other potential funding partners.
- Managing the complete grant process, including letters of inquiry, proposals, deadlines, budgets, supporting documents, reports, and renewals.
- Maintaining accurate donor and grant records, tracking fundraising activity, and measuring progress toward established goals.
- Working with ministry leaders to gather stories, outcomes, financial information, and program details for donor communications and grant proposals.
- Ensuring donors and foundations receive timely acknowledgments, meaningful updates, and clear reports about the impact of their generosity.
- Supporting additional fundraising efforts, including special campaigns, events, year-end giving, donor reengagement, and other development initiatives.
