As a Citizenship Coach at GoTEN, you will take on an important role in empowering refugees by preparing them for U.S. citizenship. This role involves leading educational classes that cover the necessary curriculum for citizenship application, including teaching about U.S. history and government, guiding through the initial application process, and preparing for interviews.

You will be responsible for organizing and utilizing volunteers to deliver this curriculum effectively. Your ability to manage classroom settings and provide tailored support to each participant will be crucial. You will also offer practical advice on how to successfully navigate the application process and increase the chances of approval.

Your responsibilities will include not only teaching but also overseeing the completion of initial citizenship applications, ensuring all documentation is correctly handled, and providing ongoing support to refugees as they prepare for their citizenship interviews.

The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, experience in teaching or coaching, and a hearfelt commitment to assisting refugees. Familiarity with the citizenship application process and previous experience working in community services or with non-profit organizations will be highly beneficial.
