As an Employment Specialist at GoTEN, you will be instrumental in networking with local employers and preparing refugees through job readiness programs. Your work will directly contribute to helping refugees in Phoenix find employment or level up to better jobs through training.

You will engage with a variety of stakeholders to create opportunities for job placement and training for refugees. This includes developing and maintaining relationships with local businesses, identifying job opportunities that match the skills and aspirations of refugees, and preparing them through tailored readiness programs.

Your role will also involve coordinating with other team members to assess the needs of the refugees and provide comprehensive support. This support includes resume writing workshops, interview preparation sessions, and vocational training. Your success in this role will be measured by the employment outcomes of the refugees you assist.

The ideal candidate for this role will have strong networking skills, experience in job coaching or career counseling, and a deep commitment to empowering refugees. An understanding of the local job market and the challenges faced by refugees in the job search process is crucial.
