GoTEN’s Kids Ministry in Phoenix, AZ provides a safe and nurturing space for refugee children while their parents attend English or Sewing classes. We are looking for an assistant to support the class leader in creating a structured yet engaging environment where children can learn, play, and build social skills. This role involves working closely with the class leader to help lead activities that encourage learning, creativity, and social interaction while ensuring the classroom remains organized and welcoming.
As an assistant, you will help manage and organize materials for lessons and playtime, support the leader in maintaining a structured and engaging atmosphere, and assist with welcoming and orienting new children to the class. You will also work alongside volunteers, helping ensure that each child receives the attention and care they need. Since child safety is a top priority, you will be expected to follow all necessary policies and procedures to create a secure and supportive space.
While prior experience working with children is helpful, the most important qualifications are a love for kids, a heart for serving refugee families, and a willingness to support the class leader in carrying out the program. If you have a passion for helping children thrive and want to serve in a ministry that makes a difference, we’d love to hear from you!
