Kids Safety Training

GoTEN’s Kid's Safety Training Course is a required course for all staff, trainees, and volunteers who interact with children through our programs. The safety and well-being of the children we serve is a top priority, and this course equips participants with the knowledge and awareness needed to engage in healthy, respectful, and appropriate ways.
This training addresses key topics such as appropriate physical interaction, maintaining healthy boundaries during play, and the importance of avoiding one-on-one situations whenever possible. It also covers the proper handling of sensitive information to ensure confidentiality, guidelines for taking and sharing photographs, and the legal and ethical responsibilities of mandatory reporting.
Whether you’re volunteering in class, helping with kids at an apartment complex, or assisting in any other GoTEN activity involving children, this course will help you understand what safe interaction looks like—and what to avoid. You’ll also learn how to recognize and respond to signs of abuse or inappropriate behavior, creating a more secure environment for everyone involved.
By completing this training, you help protect children and uphold the integrity of our ministry. Your role in safety is essential to building trust with families and creating a welcoming place for all.
