Our English classes don’t just teach language—they create meaningful spaces where refugees experience friendship, dignity, and hope. Volunteers and students learn together, laugh together, and grow together.
Volunteer as an English Encourager
GoTEN offers English classes Monday through Thursday for refugees in Phoenix. Classes use computer-based curriculum, and volunteers serve as personal coaches— helping students navigate lessons, track progress, and offering encouragement.
Each volunteer serves 1.5 hours per week, assisting 2–3 students. No teaching experience is required—just a willingness to smile, listen, and help.
